Show played...people there - kewl... thanks to you all for coming -- Now I will be doing everything I can in NJ to make sure my state votes Democratic (again!) so we can evict BUSH from his occupation ov thee White House! . . .
I URGE alla you "alternative" / "industrial" & "goth" types to VOTE -- so many lifestyle choices we make will be at MAJOR risk if BUSH gets in again for 4 more years... there may be 2 Supreme Court justices up for nomination in the next Presidential term, among other important issues...
This idiot stole the election in 2000 (with help from his bro in Fla, and his Dad's Supreme Court buddies,) -- ignored Clinton's warnings about Osama - ignored the "Bin Laden to attack in USA" PDB (a WHOLE MONTH before 9/11 -- AND the 36TH!!! to mention Osama & Al Qaeda!!!) - then did not "get him dead or alive" -- THEN lied to all ov us about "WMD"s in Iraq and now has the blood of over 1,075 US Military on his hands - he has made the USA less safe by pissing on our allies and the U.N., and he talks about writing bigotry into the Constitution & Taking away Women's Rights to their OWN Reproductive Organs -- All the while spending us into oblivion with the BIGGEST Economic turnaround in US History! From Clinton's Trillions in Surplus to a HUGE Deficit!!! Bush also is the 1st president since HOOVER to have NO NEW NET Job gains in his 4 years !!!
THIS GUY HAS GOT TO GO !
Please tell ALL YOUR Family & Friends these "facts" in whatever state you are in -- and beg them TO VOTE KERRY!!!! This is the MOST IMPORTANT Election in American History!... Yes, It is!

If you did not see the 1st Presidential debate, here's my recap for you: (and from poll-results, America-at-large agrees with my assessment - but who cares, eh? -- the only poll that matters is on Nov 2!!! -- It's just nice to see & hear that we all mostly saw the same thing & the icing on the cake is to see Republicans finally admit that their "guy" royally messed up!).
Last week, John Kerry won not only the debate, but hopefully in November the Presidency from George "W" Bush (hands down!). Kerry showed what a true "leader" looks and (more importantly) THINKS like. Bush was dumbfounded, unprepared, tongue tied and his thoughts were all-over-the-place; at times randomly blurting out "soundbites" from his stump speech (no matter WHAT the topic at hand -- this is NOT "sticking to message" folks, it IS, however the signs of badly damaged "thought patterns,") -- and though BUSH was "funny" to watch - this is not the most comforting persona, image, lack of knowledge or overall "performance" for *any* world leader to have. Let alone OUR "leader" of OUR beloved U.S. of A. The "top job" in this Country.
Kerry was well-informed, factual, consistent, distinct, focused and statesmen-like; in a word "Presidential." Bush rolled his eyes, sighed (alot), licked his lips, pouted, slouched, stood there hunched over and appeared dumbfounded - saying "Uhhhh," "Well... Ummm, uh - (barking out) I know how the world works -- we work hard, ... uh... terrorists, -- it's hard work!" and ultimately Bush came across as some sort of teenager who has wrecked the "family car" and Kerry was the one to (finally) take him to task for his reckless behavior with OUR Country.
I just hope that the American people have really had enough of Bush's scare tactics and politicizing of the "war on terror" to vote him out of office in November. Kerry correctly pointed out the problem in yet another of Bush's slips-of-the-lip (which he is now so famous for,) Bush defended the Iraq war (which has now taken the lives of over 1,060 US Military and left about 6,500 wounded & handicapped) by saying: "they attacked us," !!!! As Kerry pointed out to Bush, it was not Iraq and Saddam who attacked the USA on 9/11 -- and the man who did it, and Bush once said he wanted "Dead or Alive" is all but an afterthought to this Administration and President who wanted to attack Iraq since his earliest days in office. Bush even went as far as to instruct terrorism advisor (for the last 3 Presidents) Richard Clarke to "get me something on Iraq" right after 9/11 and Bush/Cheney have gone great lengths to try to mislead the American public about supposed connections or involvement between the two (Iraq/bin Laden.) SO when Bush barked back at Kerry "I know it was Osama bin Laden who attacked us" -- you have to wonder how this man can "justify" what he has done in Iraq (again, with first the UN Inspectors, & now the US Military not finding any "WMD" as well!)
Also, interesting is on the White House's own website is just how much the "Authorization to use Force" was referred to by Bush himself as a means to "keep the peace" (at least 3x Bush says the Congress measure to authorize him to "use force" was a measure to "keep the peace") -- it was Bush's "leverage" to get the U.N. inspectors into Iraq (which DID happen! And they did not find WMDS! AND Ambassador Joe Wilson told the Bush administration at the CIA's request his investigation in the Niger uranium "buy" was a non-issue for WMDs and the Bush Administration in turn outted his wife to lunatic journalist R. Novak not heeding his "reserve" in making a case for WAR/WMDs! AND Bush was warned he'd be "Opening up the Gates of Hell" to go to war with a Muslim country by the A.L., AND Powell told him if you "break it (Iraq) you own it".) This hard-headed man (Bush) then took all this information & pulled the Inspectors out, then took us to War unprovoked not following all the steps in the resolution! But now they still try to "claim" Kerry *wanted* this War with Iraq... Nonsense!

Kerry showed in the debate how he can keep us safer by FIRST: not starting an unprovoked "war of choice," and how he'd go after the REAL "Terrorists" against the USA. SECOND: he will spend funds now being wasted in Iraq (Halliburton price gouging, anyone?) on security measures WITHIN the USA (Ports, Subways, Tunnels, Bridges, Power Plants, Airport Security!!! Remember 9/11? -- The 9/11 commission report states clearly that 10 of the 19 Hijackers on that day were called aside or "flagged" as security risks)
Can you imagine how different the WORLD would be today if Bush took the PDB of August 6th seriously -- the one that spoke of "Airplanes being Hijacked" when bin Laden "attacked inside the USA" -- which was presented to him over a month before this fateful day - and imagine if Bush even called JUST *ONE* meeting to discuss this "bin Laden determined to attack (by) hijacking planes in the USA" with the CIA, FBI, and FAA within that WHOLE MONTH between Aug 6 & 9/11? Just chew on THAT for a minute... consider THAT when choosing a "leader" for the next four years!!!) . . .
Kerry can also help America gain back our "moral" and "leadership" reputation and role in the World, with his careful wisdom and all-encompassing grasp of foreign policies; (he was 20 years on the foreign relations committee in his Senate career - which I DO wish they would give more "Air Time" to! As an ex-prosecutor KERRY was also at the front of busting up the Iran-Contra drug fiasco - maybe another reason the GOP hates this fellow so much?) -- whereas Bush will ruin America further and with even less restraint, if given 4 more years to act recklessly with world politics. By this i mean pissing on the U.N., attacking Iraq unprovoked! (He'll destroy important "domestic" issues also, see below!)
Bush doesn't have a great track record *inside* the USA either!, But that is the next debate! Briefly: Bush is the 1st President to LOOSE JOBS since Hoover !!! He started with Clinton's Surplus and we now have Hundreds of Billions of Dollars in Deficit!!! There are more Americans now than ever without Health Care... He let the Assault Weapons Ban go un-renewed, and continues to give tax-breaks to Corporations that ship Jobs overseas!!!!
Bush needs to go - whether you are a registered Republican or Democrat, or an "Independent" -- PLEASE do not give this person 4 more years to wreak havoc on the American people!!! Bush is neither "Compassionate" nor "Conservative," he is an overspending, right wing fundamentalist who is dismantling 30 years of environmental protections, and also doesn't seem to believe in the separation of Church and State.
As a final thought (and before you pull that lever in November) PLEASE remember Bush has taken more vacation time than any other president (ever!) 40% of his time is spent "on Vacation," He did not take the PDB "Bin Laden determined to Attack in USA" on Aug 6th seriously (he went on vacation for the month of August - then we had 9/11), all this despite this PDB was the 36th to address Bin Laden & Al Qaeda!!! Bush also (has stated, himself!) he will appoint Judges who do not think Women should have the "rights" to their OWN Reproductive Organs! Bush has also pushed for the 1st Amendment to the (very) Constitution of this Country that would deny or take away "rights" to a minority group, with his so-called "Defense of Marriage" proposal.
Talk about being "soft" on Homeland Security -- and -- Out Of Touch with "Mainstream" America... and the "Middle Class" or the "Working Class" . . . or "Women's Rights" or "Civil Rights"...
Bush blew it once -- DO NOT LET HIM BLOW IT AGAIN!

on another note -- watch the DNC on PBS (from 8PM, unlike the "Networks" who only show one hour at 10 !!!! Bahhh!) or CNN, who cover it from 8pm as well ... pretty strong words tonight so far from AL GORE and JIMMY CARTER,,,even tho the "word" was that this would not harp too much on "Bush-Bashing" -- well all they say is true, just suprising after not expecting them to be so, well... "honest" about Bush's lack ov any "real" leadership - and his destruction ov the USA "standing" in the eyes ov the World... also Gore an Carter hinted at how Kerry actually *served* this country in the Military, unlike someone who did not (i think it was AL who said it this way:) "show up" !!! hehe!... HEY! congratz to Terrorfakt who juss signed to Metropolis... our Philly show was fun, albeit lightly attended...the people who came up to chat/take pix & buy things after the set were really into it tho; in fact about 95% ov the crowd there had never seen us befour (Imagine that, we'd played Philly about a dozen times befour this!) ... C137 sounded good live (less VNV than the disc, in my eyes) an' Tank Farm were pretty kewl with a sort ov "ebm meets electro-clash" type vibe to it all... Watch, now as I veer off topic (hey, it's MY Lj, afterall!!!) -- i had an interesting mini-conversation with not only those 2 acts, the promoter, & even (one ov) CS' own (!) about the horrible, horribe "Iraq Prision Abuse/Tourture Scandal" (which had *just* broke then;) & now that more pix, from more prisons, with even more "grizzy" actions on the part ov US 'personnel' have surfaced since then,... well -- I *just wonder* if alla them are still sounding SO FREAKIN "Rush Limbaguh" like an' not seeing the pure eeeEVIL that is rampant in the Bush administration and this "false pretense" war w/ Iraq, all for "W's daddy" . . . agh! ... "They're just teenagers and in their early 20's blowing off some steam,... it is 'war', after all...what did you do in your early 20's?" was one comment that stuck out to me that night !!! I for sure never did ANYTHING like that crap to other human beings (unless ov course they *wanted me* to, hehe :>)
Argh!... oh well... I am so afraid ov another 4 years ov BUSH!... Not only with this mis-directed WAR (how's about an overly costly 'distraction' from how we did not 'get' Osama? an' avenge "Pop Bush" while we're at it,) BUT ALSO his want for a Constitutional Ammendment against Gay Marriage (Human Rights,...people?) , his trying to push this so-called "Faith Based Initiative" (Seperation ov Church/State, anyone?), his anti-Choice stance (Women's RIGHTS?).... what's next ?.... I hope we do not find out !!!! Oh well what can you expect from a President who doesn't read the news, how can we expect him to lead the 3/8ths ov the country who "elected" him?.... Maybe I am expecting TOO much!...

our 1st show since 2003 takes place on (this) Friday May 7th in Philly at The Rotunda (on Drexel University) details are at the http://www.crocshop.com site . . . hope y'all can make it who are in the s.jersey / pa area ... say "Hi" I'm the one in the middle growling, yelling, banging on things an' (sometimes) actually singing (hehe!) ... Issac and his C137 band ov electronauts will be there playin' juss befour us as well as some cats from NJ called "Tank Farm" opening up, who have a neat website -- should be an interesting show - i heard the venue is like some ole vintage-like "church" space w/ high ceilings an' such ... oh yeh we'll be in 1997 mode too as RAWerner who last played with us in Germany ov that year 're-joins' us onstage for this event . . . should be most entertaining (practice sounded gudt so, we can hope!!!)

I am so pissed!!! My kid brother Jay has been giving me 'bootleg' DVDs ov sum movies latey that seem to bag it JUST when there is a climactic ending or 'wrap up' ov some sort,,,(first during Pachino's Swan Song at the end ov The Recruit - I still dunno what he spills out there!) - So anyways - we were watching "Gothica" last night & the freakin DVD starts to skip right at the end,,, anyone out there who can tell me what happens (next) as the two ov them say 'gdbye on the nyc street - i mean they cant just say - "oh it's been ten years I still have bad dreams",... & then get into taxis leave it at that - can they ? Argh! ...

WOW - i never ever thought that we'd all be in the same place at the same time again, but Saturday Hell actually managed to "freeze over" and we had (in order ov 'appearance' in CS) John Figlar (CS original drummer;) raWerner (a/k/a Bob - the original bass player in both CS & Mod Fun;) Chris Collins (who engineered many early CS recording sessions as well as playing in rehersals for a spell with CS and the drummer for Mod Fun;) vMarkus (current keys/computers in C/S;) and yours truly - All together for the first time in prolly 15 years for a "private" sorta band & friends release/listening party in my Ocean Grove (home) studio. I will post some pictures on the crocshop.com website within days & try to link them here as well... We also were graced with the presence ov Jeff from Tinman Rex, Lady Elaine, Liza, Chrissy Figlar, and Mike M&Ms, and ov course the studio kitty Maggie. QUITE the flashback ov an evening... must say.

The all-encompasing 35 song compilation is finally available !!!! Yippie ! WOW! What a trip to compile between the old photos, the songs off VINYL (remember that stuff?),,, and them goth gee-tars on the earliee tracks!!!
Anyways, go to Metropolis Mail Order to grab it quick w/ the custom "wrap-around" and bonus 12page booklet - once these first 399 are gone they will never ever be packaged this same way again...
